Interpreting the press conference between Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

If you’ve followed the mainstream media recently, you’ll know President Donald Trump met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on February 16th, 2017.  This was the first meeting between the two countries’ leaders since President Trump took office on January 20th of this year.

It seems like there is a new attitude in the White House in terms of viewing Israel as an ally.  Some would argue that the previous President viewed the only democracy in the Middle East as an enemy while treating our enemies as an ally.  There was much talk during the past eight years of tensions between former President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu.  In fact, there were rumors of Obama snubbing Netanyahu by not greeting him upon his arrival.  There was a stark contrast in the outward display of warmth and there seems to be a truly genuine friendship between the two new leaders.
